Here is the plan so far for Swiftfest #10 2008. As most of you know the Southwind Inn which has been our center of operations for the past 9 years has been closed permanently. So we are going to have to wing it (no pun intended) a little this year. The best prospect for rooms at this point is the Cactus Tree Inn 250- 498-2225, this 800# may or may not work in the US 1-800-449-8617.

I just checked and they still have rooms available for the 5th and 6th of Sept. The last couple of years we have been there on the Sept long weekend however last year the Yak guys started using that weekend as well. That was great however now with fewer rooms available in the area and parking issues I have decided to move it to the weekend after the long weekend. I tried to block 15 rooms as usual however they required a deposit on each room blocked so I will not be doing that. My suggestion is, if you are intending to come book early. Most of you who have been here before know what to expect. The Friday evening BBQ will happen in some form and I will see what we can arrange for Saturday evening. The usual sit back and relax, kick tires and enjoy the Okanagan will be the drill. I hope to see as many of you as we can get together.
