SWIFT & FURY AT CAF AIRSHO

|
Swifter Bill Coombes
writes...
"Attached are two photos taken of Corkey Fornof and myself doing some formation flying on CAF Airsho weekend.
Corkey was great at Airsho...flew the Fury thru a wonderful routine all three days of the show. I asked him to do this photo mission with me on Sunday afternoon...photo plane was a CAF SNJ with an AF A-10 driver doing the photography." |

ANOTHER SWIFT IS REBORN
Washington
Swifter Nate Andrews writes...
"You can now change the status of S/N 1474, N3783K, to flying. It was test flown by Bill Shepherd.
It took me two years and a month to make this pile of pieces that had not flown since 1978, airworthy.
It now has a 200hp Lycoming. Originally is was 3781K. That was surrendered and was then
registered as 101U.
When S/N 1476 was destroyed 3783K became available and the owner at that time reregistered
it so it
could have an original Swift number. 3781K is now a Piper Cherokee. So anyway as far as the FAA is
concerned S/N 1474 is N3783K."
RRSW TEXAS FALL SWIFT FLY-IN

|

These are a couple of pics from different activities."

CYCLO ADVERTISES SWIFT (SORT
OF...)
|

|
"Well, though I've probably got the most oxydized paint and least
polished airplane in the fleet, I have a Cyclo machine (I've used it to polish and wax the paint on my glider...soon I'll get to the Swift).
I just happened to notice that on the box, they seem to advertise for Swifts, too!"

SWIFTS AT LEE BOTTOM
 |
I think you will enjoy a few pics of the Lee Bottom Flyin in Hanover, IN. My Dad and I flew up last weekend. It was a good one. There were about 300 planes, only 4 Swifts including mine. The camping was good with great food and entertainment. Hope you enjoy.

FURY AT AOPA EXPO
PIC OF THE YEAR FOR 2008?

No...
But it is a contender...
I've set aside a few pics from the January through November 2008 GTS News for
consideration as "Pic Of The Year". Above is one example. I'd surely
like to consider more!
If you have a Swift related pic you'd like to submit for consideration please
email to arbeau@napanet.net
I'll then be posting all the pics in the December GTS News so that all of
you can email me your votes
and will declare a winner in January. So send me a winning pic!
Thanks! -- Denis Arbeau
