AMA Charter 2114
The Napa Valley R/C Club is a nonprofit public benefit corporation with the specific purpose of promoting the safe operation of radio-controlled model aircraft in the Napa Valley; providing the Napa Valley community with a safe model aircraft flying site; and educating and assisting all those interested in the hobby of building and sport of flying model aircraft.
Flying Sites... Napa Valley R/C Club members and their guests fly seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kennedy Park model airfield in south Napa. Many of our members also meet at Lake Hennessy for float flying on the first Saturday of each month.
Membership... Napa Valley R/C Club membership is open to anyone of any age who has a valid Academy of Model Aeronautics license and agrees to follow the posted club flying rules. Of course, there are annual dues and an initiation fee to be paid, but discounts are available for youths, seniors, and families. For more information, download the 2005 Membership Application [.PDF] or send email to NVRCC@napanet.net -- or come meet us at the Kennedy Park model airfield on any Saturday morning when the weather is good!
Club Meetings... Napa Valley R/C Club general membership meetings are held three times each year -- a summer meeting, fun-fly and barbecue is held at the Kennedy Park model airfield; a fall meeting, float-fly and picnic is held at Lake Hennessy; and a Christmas dinner meeting and holiday get-together in December. Prizes are raffled during the meetings to help support various club activities, and guests are always welcome!
Meeting dates will be announced following the next Board of Directors meeting on March 1st.
